Addition of High Mast LED Flood Lights and Lighting Upgrades at TIACAO

Overview

Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Office (TIACAO), under the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), located at Gauchar, Kathmandu, contracted a project (Ref. No. SF-79-2515) titled "Addition of High Mast LED Flood Light at International Apron Area and Other Places of TIACAO." The project added high mast LED flood lights and upgraded street and downlight systems across the international apron and other airport areas. The project duration was 6 months, with completion recorded on 20 June 2024.

Scope & Deliverables

• Supply and delivery of High Mast LED Flood Lights, LED Street Lights, and LED Downlights.
• Installation of all supplied lighting systems, including mounting of double-sided arms and LED drivers.
• Maintenance services covering high mast poles, street light poles, and downlights across canopy and baggage areas.
• Testing and interfacing of all lights to confirm compliance with technical specifications.
• Replacement and upgrade of single-sided arms to double-sided arms for street lighting coverage.

Outcome

The high mast LED flood lights, LED street lights, and LED downlights were supplied, installed, and tested across the international apron and other designated areas of TIACAO. Maintenance coverage was established for high mast poles, street light poles, and downlights in the canopy and baggage areas, and single-sided street lighting arms were replaced with double-sided arms under the project scope.
