Mahavir Shree International Pvt. Ltd. carried out the supply, delivery, and installation of DC cable, a hydrogen detection system, DC fuse, wireless energy sensors, and MCCBs at P0 Power Station, TIACAO, for CAAN, Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation office. The site was located at Gauchar, Kathmandu. The project was procured under reference R3050, titled "Supply, Delivery and Installation of DC Cable, Hydrogen Sensor with Exhaust Fan and DC Fuse at P0 Power Station at TIACAO (Re-invitation)". The work covered electrical safety, monitoring, and reliability upgrades to the power station without disturbing ongoing airport operations, and was completed on 15 July 2025 over a duration of 4 months and 18 days.
Scope & Deliverables
- Installation of DC cable between the UPS and the Li-ion battery.
- Supply and integration of a hydrogen gas detection and ventilation system in the UPS room at P0 Power House.
- Installation of a DC fuse between the UPS and the Li-ion battery system.
- Deployment of wireless energy sensors at the main incomers of various panel boards.
- Supply and installation of two new MCCBs at the induction panel feeder/compartment unit.
- Execution of works in compliance with UL, IEC, NFPA, NEC, BS EN, and IEEE standards.
- Completion of installation without disruption to airport operations, coordinated with the Airport Tower, TDO, and Electrical section.
Outcome
The DC cable, hydrogen detection and ventilation system, DC fuse, wireless energy sensors, and MCCBs were installed and handed over at P0 Power Station, TIACAO. The hydrogen detection system was integrated with ventilation in the UPS room, and the MCCBs and DC fuse were installed to provide protection and continuity of the power supply at the site.
