Supply, Delivery and Installation of Energy Monitoring System (EMS) Software, Monitoring System, and Accessories at Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Office (TIACAO)
Supply, delivery, and installation of a comprehensive EMS Software and monitoring system at TIACAO for real-time energy data management and power quality monitoring.
Project Overview
This project, implemented for the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) under the Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Office (TIACAO), focuses on the supply, delivery, and installation of a complete Energy Monitoring System (EMS) to enhance operational efficiency, power quality monitoring, and sustainable energy management within the airport’s electrical infrastructure. The project ensures seamless real-time monitoring of critical power systems through advanced EMS software and integrated smart wireless sensors.
Key Deliverables
✓ Supply & Delivery of EMS Software and monitoring systems capable of tracking 125+ devices, including a server PC, PLC, software license, and server rack.
✓ Installation of Energy and Power Quality Meters (2 sets for HT panels) and Wireless Energy Sensors (10 units for main panels and 10 smart sensors for auxiliary panels).
✓ Delivery and installation of Thermal Monitoring Wireless Sensors, 55” UHD display monitors, quad monitor stands, and 4 TR cassette air conditioner units (LG/Daikin or equivalent).
✓ Supply and installation of Fire-Rated Metal Doors (120-minute certified) meeting BS-476 and IS:3614 standards.
✓ Provision of all necessary accessories—networking cables, cable termination kits, MCCBs, cable trays, and fittings for complete EMS installation.
✓ Integration, configuration, and commissioning of all EMS components, ensuring interoperability and compliance with ISO 50001, ISO 50002, ISO 50006, IEC62443, and IEEE standards.
✓ Testing, training, and handover of the fully functional Energy Monitoring System to TIACAO personnel.
Impact
The installation of the Energy Monitoring System marks a significant step towards energy efficiency and intelligent power management at Nepal’s busiest international airport. With real-time data tracking, enhanced power quality compliance, and centralized monitoring, TIACAO can now achieve optimized energy usage, reduced operational downtime, and improved safety across critical electrical systems. This project supports CAAN’s vision for sustainable airport operations through smart infrastructure integration.
Conclusion
The successful implementation of this project strengthens the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal’s commitment to adopting advanced energy management technologies. The integrated EMS system ensures precise monitoring, improved operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability of airport facilities, setting a benchmark for modern aviation infrastructure in Nepal.
