The project involved the supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of LED Smart Street Lights in Lalitpur, implemented by Crompton – MSIPL JV for the Nepal Electricity Authority, Energy Efficiency and Loss Reduction Department, with the Lalitpur Municipality as the end user. The works included installation of smart LED luminaires, steel tubular poles, LT ABC cables, energy meters, and a Centralized Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) to enable real-time management, monitoring, and billing of street lighting operations.

Project Scope and Execution
The project encompassed the end-to-end execution of smart street lighting systems, starting from design and manufacturing to installation and commissioning. Key activities included:
Design & Quality Assurance: Manufacturing, inspection, and testing at the manufacturer’s works under strict QAP (Quality Assurance Procedure).
Site Operations: Unloading, handling, storage, assembly, touch-up painting, and installation at the designated sites.
System Commissioning: Inspection, testing, and successful performance demonstration during the warranty period.
The project also featured the establishment of a Central Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) for real-time monitoring, management, and billing of street lighting operations.
Scope of Work:
- Design, manufacturing, inspection & testing as per QAP
- Supply and installation of LED smart street lights (120W, 80W, 50W)
- Installation of 9m steel tubular poles, crossarms, and LT ABC cables
- Setup of servers, routers, and lighting management software

- Installation of energy meters and dismantling of old poles
