Overview

Nepal Rastra Bank, located in Baluwatar, Kathmandu, Nepal, contracted Mahavir Shree International Pvt. Ltd. for the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and training of security screening systems, under project reference SF-80-2718. The project ran over a duration of 7 months and was completed on 23 June 2024.

Scope & Deliverables

  • 5 sets of Single View X-Ray Baggage Scanners
  • 2 sets of Double View X-Ray Baggage Scanners
  • 7 sets of Walk-Through Metal Detectors (WTMD)
  • 15 sets of Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD)
  • Associated accessories, cabling, and installation materials
  • Additional electrical and infrastructure support works to integrate the systems

Outcome

All systems were installed, tested, and commissioned according to approved technical standards, with installation coordinated within the bank's operational, secure environment. Operational training was provided to Nepal Rastra Bank personnel for system operation and routine handling. The bank now has screening equipment for baggage and personnel at its entry points, comprising X-ray baggage scanners, walk-through metal detectors, and handheld metal detectors, handed over to Nepal Rastra Bank.
