Overview
This project covered the supply, delivery, installation, and testing of illuminated wayfinding signage at Gautam Buddha International Airport (IATA: BWA, ICAO: VNBW), Nepal, under Project Ref. MSI-PRJ-75-0358F. It was contracted by Northwest Civil Aviation Airport Construction Group Co., Ltd., with the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) as end user, and formed part of the Gautam Buddha Airport Upgrading Components Project. Work began in August 2020 and was completed in January 2022, a duration of one year and five months.
Scope & Deliverables
- Suspended double-sided illuminated signs: LED 1050 x 300 mm, LED 1500 x 600 mm, and LED 1800 x 600 mm.
- Face-mounted illuminated signs: LED 450 x 300 mm, LED 1500 x 600 mm, and LED 600 x 300 mm.
- Flush-mounted directory sign.
- Projected double-sided illuminated sign.
- Pylon double-sided illuminated sign.
- Installation and testing of all supplied signage.
Outcome
The illuminated wayfinding signage was supplied, installed, and tested at Gautam Buddha International Airport under Project Ref. MSI-PRJ-75-0358F, and handed over to CAAN as end user. The airport terminal now has suspended, face-mounted, flush-mounted, projected, and pylon signage for passenger wayfinding.
